Blame Essay Romeo and Juliet In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare the never-ending family feud between the Montagues and the Capulets pushes Friar Lawrence to cause the deaths of the two star-crossed lovers. Friar Lawrence is to blame because he marries them in secret, rushes the plan to keep Juliet from marrying Paris and leaves Juliet alone in the tomb. One reason the friar is to blame is him marrying Romeo and Juliet in secret. In Act 2 scene 3 of Romeo and Juliet it states, “Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast.” (Page 103) The Friar was rushing them to get married and they were not thinking about the consequences when they got married.
