Fate is seen by many of the character in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet as the reason for Romeo and Juliet’s downfall. In truth, however, it is the character flaw and actions of Romeo, Friar Lawrence and Caplet that turely lead to their deaths. Romeo himself is the character that lead to his and Juliet’s death, because of his impulsive nature. Romeo was overwhelmed by the feeling of getting revenge for Mercutio. He didn’t thought of the consequences. His price for killing Tybalt is the banishment, which he couldn’t see Juliet anymore. Romeo should of went to tell the prince, so the prince can punish Tybalt. Friar Laurence shouldn’t agree on Romeo and Juliet’s plan on marring, because it made their relationship more intense. If Friar Laurence rejected their marriage, Romeo might just find another girl and happy ever after. He thought it would make the two family peace by just letting two of their child marring. In contrast, it made Romeo and Juliet’s love to a point that there’s no return. Therefore it was Friar Laurence that made Romeo and Juliet into a situation that they can’t get out of, they want to be together no matter what happens. Friar Laurence’s escape plan was flawless, but he didn’t thought of the coincides in life. He didn’t know that the mail wouldn’t reach Romeo, and the portion’s effect on Juliet would gone after Romeo had drank the poison portion.
