Destiny vs Free Will has been a debate of which takes more control in stories and in real life. I believe that free will/personal choices take more control in the lives of people. This can be proven by the stories The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe. The choices that these characters made in the stories greatly affected how the story progressed and how their lives ended in tragedy.
First, in the story of Romeo and Juliet, Act 1, Scene 2, Capulet sends a servant with a list of people to send out invitations to their ball: “Through fair Verona; find those persons out, Whose names are written there, and to them say, My house and welcome on their pleasure stay.” Since the peasant can not read he luckily finds Romeo and Benvolio

I thought my friend was lying, but nonetheless, I went to the locker room and saw that the majority of the boys were changing. When I noticed that, I was soon grateful that I made the choice of bringing my clothes because if I had never brought my clothes I would have earned a zero for that day and possibly lowered my grade in that class. From that experience, I argue that a person's free will and personal decisions have an impact on the plot's progression and its chance for
