It is believed that William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom. He was baptized on April 26, 1564 and during this time infants were baptized three days after birth which is why it is believed he was born April 23. “He was the third child of John Shakespeare, who was a tradesman and a glove maker, and his mother Mary Arden, who was the daughter of a wealthy farmer”.
