Romeo and Juliet is a story of love, a force of fate, leading its protagonists unalterably toward inevitable death. It’s the passion and care between Romeo and Juliet that is so beautiful. The love between Romeo and Juliet is extremely strong, and it’s such an amazing bond, but it’s not pure love.
People are more selfish with love than giving it. People use love for their reasons and usage for their power; Juliet is so driven by love she wants to end herself just so Romeo would care and pay attention “Love will give me strength and strength will help me accomplish this plan” (Juliet 4.1.125). The love Romeo has for Juliet is so pure and kind that it is sure to never die. ”Did my heart love till now”( Romeo 1.5.52-53). The idea that Romeo didn't know what true love was until he met Juliet. In fact, this instant love and desire for Juliet could not be thwarted and, in turn, could have cost him. In many instances, the play suggests that his instinct is to not wait to hurt him in the end.
Again, Romeo believes in his mind no other girl is better than Juliet. She is so great to just him but to other guys, she is just another pretty girl. But to Romeo, she’s the world.“Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright” (1.5.40). Romeo is so distracted and obsessed with how Juliet is so “hot”, she shows the torches to be bright, to him she is the brightness of the fire. Romeo thinks Juliet is the one and only pretty girl at the dance she is better than Rosaline could ever have
