The Shakespearean play, Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy that revolves around the death of two young lovers as a result of a family feud between the Montagues and the capulets. The statement ‘Unbridled passion is to blame for the deaths of the young lovers’ is authentic until it reaches a midpoint from where further, the statement is not accurate. This is because Romeo’s Petrarchan love and Juliet’s parent pressure play a critical role to forming an uncontrollable sentimental love connection between Romeo and Juliet which later on in the play lead to them committing suicide for each other.
