Ronald Reagan was a great man. He lived from February 6, 1911 to June 5, 2004. Ronald Reagan could be described in many ways. His Presidency was one to remember. Ronald Reagan was one of the best Presidents America has ever had. Reagan got a lot done in his life time. He was a true American to the people, even though he had his ups and downs. Ronald Regan was born in Tampico, Illinois, U.S. His parents were Jack Regan and Nelle Wilson Reagan. He was raised in a poor family. Regan graduated from Eureka College in 1932. After he Graduated, he worked as a sports announcer. Reagan moved to Hollywood, where he met his first wife Jane Wyman. Reagan was in a few productions. Reagan was in movie as a lifeguard. There was a brief recession lasting only 6 months 1980, but after that another recession happened from July 1981 to November 1982. The unemployment rate went from 7% to 8% from the summer of 1980 to the fall of 1981. It started to rise quickly after that. People thought that their financial position would get worse, but some that it would just stay the same. People were excited to hear of Reagan's economic policies. About 8% of Americans thought that their financial would get better, while 41% thought it would get somewhat better. In September 1982, Americans were pleased with the state of economy while the unemployment rate was at 10.1%. 54% of Americans said that what Reagan has done made their personal finance worse, but 34% thought theirs were better. In the long hall, majority of the people thought their financial future would get better even though some said it still wouldn't. Reaganomics were used. Reaganomics are supposed to help by showing how corporate tax cuts are the best way to enhance the economy. It also states that income tax cuts give workers more incentive to work, increasing the supply of labor. The more workers we have cause more jobs. The more jobs we have cause more things available to people without jobs. Reagan was trying to help build back jobs for people, so they could feed their families and to make sure our country wasn't in any
