Guess who was the 40th president, well it was Ronald Reagan. He became the governor of California in 1967. In his early life and childhood his family was poor. He was born in Tampico, Illinois February 6 1911. Reagan grew up with his mom Nelle his dad Jack and brother Neil. His dad nicknamed him Dutch due to his fat little dutchman, this nickname stuck with him throughout his youth. His later life was much better than his early life. He became a lifeguard at Lowell park near Dixon, Illinois. After he saw a man in the the water drowning he saved that man's life that night. He decided to be a lifeguard there for 7 summers. While he was a lifeguard he saved 77 lives. He married Jane Wyman in 1940 and got a divorce with Jane Wyman in 1949
