A script for a new television show rests on a table ready to review. A crowd of individuals align outside a production studio anxiously waiting to audition and to have their dreams come true. The first few steps of a projection are taking place and the producer makes it happen. Producers are the ones in control of a television or film production and are involved in a project from start to finish. The career of a producer allows a vision to be created, audiences to be entertained, to make a solid income, and to be involved in something extraordinary.

The high school diploma is likely needed to confirm that an individual hoping to become a producer has an understanding of basic academic courses. According to Careers in Focus, a majority of producers enter the industry with a bachelor’s degree or other types of degrees that have to do with business. This book talks about how producers have numerous abilities, including being able to monitor themselves and other individuals so that any improvements or actions needed to be changed can be (“Producers”; “Producers,” Naviance). These abilities are valuable when becoming a producer because they help the production process progress. In addition to monitoring people, having the skill to always work at the top of your talent and never settling for less will lead to infinite success (Crouch). A producer working the best he or she can will most likely have a long-lasting career that will lead to accomplishment and prosperity. Other abilities producers are expected to have are in writing, oral expression, and oral comprehension (“Producers,” Naviance). An experience producers may need is being able to administrate and manage businesses of the film industry and any productions they may be involved in (Bureau).
