I believe that art is not only for the beauty of visualization but also for expressing feeling as well. Throughout history many artist expressed their feeling based on what going on around them like family depression, world depression and so on. In this project I’m doing research on Roy Lichtenstein. A pop artist. The characteristics of his artwork was based on bright and colorful color.
Roy is a very interesting artist to me. I like the way he does his art. Most of his artwork are bright and colorful and that is what make it unique and different from other artists. Roy Lichtenstein was born in October 27 of 1923 in the United State. He passed in September 29 in 1997 at age 73 in Manhattan, New York. Many of Roy artwork is well known today. Most of his art are bright and colorful which I believe interpret to happiness. Out of all his artwork, the one that caught my attention most is the Drowning Girl. I find this piece of his artwork interesting in way many other doesn’t. The reason why is because of the color in this piece of artwork, it's mostly cold color. Which is interesting because most of his other artworks was bright and colorful. Drowning Girl is a 1963 painting in oil and synthetic polymer paint.
