Rudolf Diesel
Rudolf was a German inventor who invented and created the diesel engine. He was born in 1858, and died in 1913 at sea in English Channel. The engine was an internal combustion engine. He went to Augsburg to continue his schooling. There, he established different records in engineering. He dedicated most of his time working on this internal combustion engine. He experimented with expansion using ammonia. That is when he began to come up with the idea for the diesel engine. He then obtained a development patent, and then published a description of his engine. He then, found help from several others, and produced a few successful models. With the success of his engine,

If he would not have passed away on the boat, I am sure Diesel would have come up with more inventions, as well as innovate many other things. But since he invented the diesel engine, he and all the guys who helped him innovate and successfully create models of engines and put many into the commercial field, and became very successful. But with all the models, at first, only 25 percent were efficient. The engines, use fuel, and spark with a spark plug, which ignited them and then began running. The higher the compression ratio, the less fuel that is being burned off. This is helpful for when you need to be fuel efficient and if it is a vehicles engine, it helps for when you are going to need for the machines engine to burn diesel very slowly, while getting the job done. Many farmers, or any business owners or workers who are away working for long periods of time, would most rather have a diesel engine vehicle rather than a regular gasoline engine. This is because they know that diesel engines are reliable, and last longer on fuel. Most people, who drive diesel trucks, will argue that they are many times better than gas trucks. There is a big percentage of people who purchase diesel trucks, and after that, they never turn to purchase a gas truck ever again. This is all thanks to Rudolf Diesel who invented and successfully built working models, that we today can enjoy this long lasting, fuel efficient, and very durable diesel engines. His success of this engine, paved the way for many other innovations of the engine, as well as teaching other engine builders how such an engine can be very durable, and let the fuel last for a while, and providing a very hard working mechanical
