I believe a hero is someone who accepts everyone no matter what, does good even when no one is looking and is willing to broaden their views and not be self centered. Therefore, no, I do not think Kim davis is a hero because she discriminates a group of people because of her own religious views and she is a hypocrite. She says she does everything under God and the Bible but she has commited several sins herself! If Kim Davis wants to punish others because of how she interpreted the Bible, then she should punish herself first for commiting adultery and having four marriages and three divorces and more than one affair.
The Mirriam-Webster Dictionary defines sane as having a healthy or sound mind however no one could possibly know what it means to be sane. Some people would consider, that to be sane means to be normal, but there really is no such thing as normal. Mostly everyone has thoughts and emotions in the world and they can differ from person to person. A mind can be influenced by culture as well as genetics and therefore sanity can be viewed differently depending on someone’s’ beliefs. Just like in One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, someone can behave a certain way if that is what is expected in the society for which you are expected to fit in.

Later Amy grasped that she uses the same type of English with her husband, but she comprehended that it was the language of family talk or the language she grew up with. Tan starts to tell her mother 's story about the gangster that wanted her mother family to adopt him. She states, "You should know that my mother 's expressive command of English belies how much she actually understands" (Tan 1). This part of the narrative inserts that her mother knew what she was talking about even though she spoke improper English.
