I run because every run has the chance to be extraordinary. Most people would find me insane. My sport, the thing that I love to do, is seen as a punishment by most people. But they just must not have felt it yet. The runner's high that is. I run because I like to test myself. With each step you take tiny micro-tears in your muscles form. Your body is breaking down so it can become stronger, faster, and better. However I find that running is more of a mental conquest than a physical one. While my muscles are deteriorating and rebuilding, so is my conscious. With every long run I test my limits, physical and mental. I run because I have my family. Some days even I question why I wake up at the crack of dawn, but truth be told, it is my team. Team may not even be the right word; we are a family.
