STEM has always been a point of great interest to me, as I am always curious about how things work. All of the elements of STEM rely on each other, yet they have their own specific uses. Science, the study of how things work in nature, is one of the first steps to knowing more about the earth and the physical world. Technology is making tools to help aid us in learning more and working in everyday lives. Engineering is using mathematics and technology together to build great structures and make even more technology. Finally, mathematics, used for calculations, can be used by itself, or applied in engineering and technology. First, with science, I have always been interested in nature, atoms, biology, all the things that science talks about. …show more content…

It enables us to do things efficiently, and enhances normal everyday life. It aids research, design, transportation, and almost everything that we now have in a household. As we grow up in the technology and development time period, we need to know about the things that others have found out and are applied in the world. I personally love technology and all it does for us. Although the word technology usually refers to laptops, phones, and other gadgets, technology is just the design of tools to help us in all subjects. There has been and always will be technology in the world. Technology could even refer to non-powered items like the first microscope, balances, or even complex lever-activated systems that open doors. Without nature, technology could not exist. Scientists use technology to discover more things, which are eventually used for designing new technology. Technology is always changing, and we need to adapt to change, so learning how to use technology would help us understand the new …show more content…

Mathematics is the skill that allows us to create and categorize all of the objects in the universe. It uses theories and what we know to find out more about our world. Sometimes, things cannot be physically grasped, or cannot be graphed on charts. That is where mathematics steps in and helps. Using what we already know about whatever we need to calculate, we can use an already proven fact and principle to determine the missing number or variable in a sequence, problem or object. However, things change, and the principles of science and the calculations may be proven wrong. As others find out more and more, we need to be able to adapt to new ways of determining certain things. Mathematics relies on patterns and rules, and is the basis for many important things we know about the universe. I, being a curious person, seek to use all of these things to help discover, reveal, and learn more about the
