Jeanne d’arc, commonly known as Saint Joan of Arc, was a peasant girl originally located in Domremy. A small town near the frontlines against the Anglo-Burgundian. Originally judged and executed as a villain, she was later looked upon as a hero in Modern History and played a significant role in defending France against countless invasions under the divine guidance of God. She is a hero of France and a role model for many women under oppression. Saint Joan of Arc was persistent and managed to win the support of Charles VII. Saint Joan was captured and put on trial by the Franch Nobles who were allied with the English, the English knew that this trial would invalidate Charles VII claim to the throne, so they funded the entire trial. This caused the trial to be biased and for Saint Joan to be found guilty. Although throughout this entire trial she remains respectful and dignified, not speaking out of place, and accepting the verdict. Saint Joan later stated her repentance had been a mistake and was released to a secular power, in this case the English. Her fate was sealed, and she was to be burned at the stake.
