Salem Witch Trials Symbolism

280 Words2 Pages
The historical event I chose to represent were the Salem Witch Trials. The first symbol that I chose was the witch. The witch was important to have in the medicine wheel to tell the story because the witch was the main thing. The witch was said to have made people sick, kill livestock and fly on a broom. That is where my third symbol comes in, the broom. People thought that witches flew on brooms. They believed witches flew during the night It represented the belief on what people thought was one of the things witches did. The next thing I used on my medicine wheel was the rope. The rope was used to hang witches. I put it on my medicine wheel to represent that if you were supposedly guilty of being a witch your punishment was to be hanged.
