The company that I chose for this particular project was Salesforce.com and its CEO Marc Benioff. According to Wikipedia.com (2017), the following information was gathered: “Salesforce.com was founded in 1999 by former Oracle executive Marc Benioff, Parker Harris, Dave Moellenhoff, and Frank Dominguez as a company specializing in software as a service (SaaS)”. “The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California, and as of early 2016, it is one of the most highly valued American cloud computing companies with a market capitalization above $61 billion”. In August 2017, Salesforce announced that it had breached the $10 billion revenue run rate becoming the first enterprise cloud company to do so. I first heard of Mr. Benioff while watching a television show by the name of Mad Money. Jim Cramer the host gives his daily analysis of the stock market and acts as sort of a guide in helping home investors learn about the market. He often has Marc on the show and raves about him being one of the top five CEO’s in corporate America currently. He goes on about how impressed is with him and that made me pay more attention to Marc and Salesfore.com. The more I heard him speak, the more I began to believe in him. After months of doing research and following the show, I decided to invest in the company. I have watched my money grow to over double my initial investment from when I started about two years ago. He walks the walk and talks the talks and is someone that I have grown to admire over time. I have witnessed first-hand his ability to perform well in his duties as CEO of salesforce.com. When it comes to ethics according to the Salesforce.com company website (2017), Benioff created the 1-1-1 model of philanthropy, which leverages the resources of Salesforce to improve communities around the world: donating 1% of Salesforce’s product, 1% of its equity and 1%
