Michael Sams is an English kidnapper, extortionist and murderer. He was born in Keighley, West Riding of Yorkshire. There was no information about his childhood. When he was 20 he joined the Merchant Navy. Sams was in the Navy 3 years then he returned to Keighley and worked as a lift engineer.
In the novel Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers, the main character is Richard Perry. In the beginning of this book, Richard was a generous and eager to start as a soldier in the Vietnam War. He soon becomes responsible and understanding of what it is like to be a black soldier in the war and how hard it can be to the other soldiers. Near the end, Richard becomes powerful and alerted near the end of the book. This character clearly relates to the theme of the book, which is age and race can impact somebody’s life a lot.
My Brother Sam Is Dead Chapter 1: Page 1-22 Sam is Tim Meeker 's older brother. Tim always looks up to his older brother. Sam then comes home in a uniform at the tavern during April. He starts out by saying "We 've beaten the British in Massachusetts," which sparks up a fight between him and his father which is a loyalist (someone who respects the government and the king). Sam has a discussion with the guests at their tavern and his family on how the Minutemen had surprise attack on the "Lobster backs" (the British) in Lexington.
Civil rights activist H. Rap Brown once said that America was shaped around violence. The reason being is because America was and still involved with a lot of drama dealing with other countries and in its very own states. For example, when the United States wanted to take over the Philippines because it was more of the backdoor to China for trading, but they abused the Filipinos with different forms of violence and even used a torture method called the "Water Cure." Another example is a more familiar white supremacist group called the Ku Klux Klan. The Klan used a lot of violence towards African Americans because they felt as if they didn’t belong in the United States, so they would purposely beat blacks or lynch them.
Serial Killer Whisperer by Pete Earley The Serial Killer Whisperer was a very well written book. It had many interesting facts about Tony Ciaglia and Serial Killers. I personally love how it takes you into the mind of the 15-year-old boy Tony, the minds of serial killers. I feel like the central point of this book is that Tony becomes fascinated with serial killers and then starts to ask the question can I be like them because of my TBI? On one side, countless lives are lost; on the other side, principles are upheld or won, and a new country now has the opportunity to prosper. For instance, the American Revolution. Beginning around 1775 and ending in 1783, the United States of America declared independence from Great Britain and became its own country. growing, prospering, and eventually going on to become the global superpower it is today.

The novel is about the four days of the Battle of Gettysburg which is viewed from various perspectives that took place during the American Civil War. The story takes place between June 30, 1963 when both the Union and the Confederacy soldiers prepare for battle around the town of Gettysburg and the 1st to 3rd of July 1973 when the battle takes place.
Some people still wonder if war can be justified by its principles or cause. It can be argued that war can be justified due to the principles of freedom and justice that soldiers are willing to die for. However, many argue against this saying that war should be avoided at all costs due to collateral damage and the massive loss of innocent life. The majority of people during the American Revolution fought for liberty without realizing the actual cost and brutal reality of war. In the novel My Brother Sam is Dead, the Meeker family consisting of a Father name Life, a Mother named Susannah, a rebellious teen named Sam, and a conflicted teen named Tim, journey through the life of colonists owning a tavern during the Revolutionary War. Sam departs from his family to fight alongside the Patriots going against his Father, a Tory. War brings a lot of terrible things, but some examples are families splitting, clash of generation, and an overall theme of principle vs reality. The soldiers who fought in the war thought they were fighting for liberty, when really they caused havoc and awfulness.
With John Proctor as our main character it is only suited that we claim him to be our one true tragic hero. He is introduced as a strong character that has secrets that few know. The reputation he has set forth for himself means a great deal to him. But, the higher you are the more the fall hurts. His fall from the graces was extremely tragic, as he proclaimed his act of adultery in front of God and everyone.
War. It divides to conquer? Ending in triumph, or does it leave us broken? Who’s to say, it can do both. It all depends on the war itself.
Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible described the events of the Salem, Massachusetts which took place in 1692. The witch trials started after Abigail Williams and her group of girls were found dancing in the woods. Not wanting to be punished, the girls claimed that the Parris household's servant Tituba was summoning spirits. From there, many other women were accused of being witches and chaos filled the town. Heroes arose, one of them being John Proctor.
War is one of the most controversial and fascinating aspects of human life, which includes sacrifice, argument, and worst of all human death. The argument of war is whether or not the sacrifice of human life is necessary or not. The authors of My Brother Sam Is Dead are totally against war; they are neutral and they give Tim the same idea as them in the novel. They even show the irony and cruelty of war in the book by the punishing and ironic deaths of Ned, Sam, and Life. This novel is based in Redding, Conneticut during the time of the Revolutionary War.
It’s getting near the end of summer and Sam, Kamm, and Kari would normally go back and complete their final year at Hogwarts but in the previous book “Sam Tyner and The Half-Blooded Prince” before Professor Dumbledore died he told Sam that Voldemort had split his soul into seven pieces and that he had destroyed Voldemort’s diary in his second year at hogwarts and that he had to set out to destroy the remaining six horcruxes of Voldemort’s soul with a snake’s fang or the Godric Griffndor’s sword because it had posion in it and that it would make Voldemort weaker each time so that he could kill Voldemort in the very end. Professor Dumbledore also told Sam that he couldn’t tell anyone about this mission except Kamm and Kari. Sam tells Kamm

Through indirect characterization, Carver contrasts the narcissistic narrator to the intuitive blind man while utilizing sight as a symbol of emotional understanding. He establishes the difference between looking and seeing to prove that sight is more than physical.
