Same Wavelengths “If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking” (Haruki Murakami). What does this quote mean to you? It could be interpreted different ways, but overall it’s saying that if you go with the crowd and read whatever your friends are reading, then you won’t be your own person and you wouldn’t have different interesting experiences to think about other than the ones that everybody else already knows. Have you ever gone to tell your friend something that you were really excited about and then they already knew it? If you have then you know that the feeling isn’t good, it spoils the fun and ruins the excitement. That’s the kind of message this quote is trying to convey,
