y Name is Floyd Price and I am from Lafayette, Indiana. I have spent most of my life in Lafayette, and the surrounding communities. I graduated high school from Attica Jr./Sr. high school. After high school, I went to Purdue, where I studied Organizational Leadership Supervision and Medical Technology. I graduated from Purdue in May 2006.
I have worked a variety of jobs. I started working for an Auctioneer at fifteen years old and worked there until I was 20. I joined the Army Reserves at seventeen, where I learned bulk logistics and operating forklifts and other heavy equipment. I worked my way up the ranks and learned various leadership positions. During college I worked at a gas station off campus as a crew leader. On campus, I worked as a student manager and cooking. I maintained three jobs while attending Purdue full time. I deployed twice to Iraq. In 2003, I served as a supervisor over seeing subsistence and various escort teams. In 2006, I served as a stock controller for the largest warehouse in Iraq and the second largest in the combat theater. I started working as a Medical Technologist in 2008 for White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello. In 2010 I also started working at the Unity Immediate Care center. In 2012, I moved on in my career by taking a Clinical Lab Officer position within the Army Reserves and I changed civilian jobs to my current position at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

I have to stay up to date with technology, methods, and emerging pathogens. My job is mostly science based and contains a large amount of chemistry and biology. I oversee phlebotomists, which are our helpers. I mainly test blood samples for physicians, allowing them to diagnose and better treat their patients. My additional duties are not much different from other places. I assist with ordering supplies; training staff, customer service, policies, and anything else my lab manager throws my
