Growing up the youngest of four, I’ve always felt like I had to prove myself. Having three sisters, we all wanted to accomplish more than the other. Some may call that sibling rivalry, I call it determination. Determination to reach a goal, and succeed in anything you put your mind to. Graduating undergraduate, by far has been one of my biggest accomplishments. Especially, being the youngest and the first to graduate from a four-year university. My passion for communications came from me not feeling confident in myself. In high school, kids use to always tell me, I wouldn’t get accepted to a big named school. They would say the only schools that would accept me were, DeVry, and Everest College. I remember making myself a promise, to NEVER give up on my …show more content…
The moment I declared my undergraduate degree to Communications was the day I found myself. My parents were so proud of me when I told them I figured out what I wanted to do. “We knew you would figure it out on your own, and we are so proud of you!” Those words will stick with me forever. The main things that attracted me to the M.S. in Communication Online program was not only there was no test score requirement, but that we have an opportunity to come on campus for the immersion experience. We will also get to go to other cities, and network. I love being able to take advantage of my resources to better myself post-graduation. The other schools I looked at did not have an appealing opportunity to network ourselves. I think it is great how Syracuse has this online program, but it doesn’t have the online feel. Personally, I learn from my jobs, and the environment in which I’m working in. I believe I can bring all my experience and knowledge into this program and continue to grow. My willingness to learn will only allow me to succeed in the program. I’m most excited for the Multimedia Storytelling class, and how we will get to write and design our own short
