Personal Statement
One positive quality about me is that I love to help other people. Throughout my life, I have been cultivating my skills to help everybody I see. I have always felt the need to help make the world better even if it takes an eternity to do so. One of the few instances I can remember where I was being helpful was when I had the opportunity to tutor young students in elementary and middle school. Another situation that comes to mind is when I took part in martial arts. I was able to train the students in there for them to get better. Even walking around, I seem to always find people in need of help and love being able to help people in need. Every time I had extra food, I would always give it to the homeless because I know that it would be of much better use in their hands than in mine. For my Freshman year, I participated in a club named Heart in Motion. What that club did was volunteer at different places to help at events like acting as a security guard or give food and water for runners at marathons. We also do events where we help the homeless by collecting money and food to give to them. One thing that I loved doing for the club was signing up for working as a caretaker for elementary school kids. We were able to act as helpers for the group and help them do fun activities. I would like to further explore the world by helping to make it better. I hope to create a better world one step at a time to conserve mankind and to help our posterity. These days, I feel like not being connected in helping the community is a problem in our society, and I want to change it by helping others. I really love helping people because it makes everybody involved feel good. I have confidence in the fact that having more positive feelings in our lives is always a good
