Throughout the years, both Japan and Europe turned into a Chaotic mess, around the same time. In the late 400’s the Roman empire had fallen, leaving Divided and weekend kingdoms.On the other side of the world, Japan was having some similar issues. The Japanese emperors and the Imperial Court we're both challenged by the rise of Clans. Despite religion, Samurai and knights are more similar than different. In the DBQ, many facts stated are clear to be more similar.
Both samurai and Knights are warriors. In Europe the Knights were considered warriors, and same goes for Samurai in Japan. In Doc A, the Samurai section says,” Warriors who owned loyalty and military service to daimyos for land or regular payment.” and the Knights section says,” Warriors who owned loyalty and military service to lords for land.” In both of the definitions, they were called warrior and owned military services. They also had loyalty in common. They both had to be loyal to whoever led them or they would have a consequence.

In Doc C, it says that a knight started “training at 4 or 5 ” but they were just starting to ride ponies. At the age of 7 or 8 a knight's training actually began. The Samurai's training began in childhood. Again in Doc C, the training samurai and knight would practice fighting with a stick of bamboo or a wooden sword. The knights and samurais both had to follow a code that meant loyalty to a ruler, king, or lord. They both had to take this very seriously or else they would not be honored or they wouldn't be
