The San Gennaro festival is always the highlight of my year. I love the people, food, and atmosphere. The festival is always a great place to try new things and meet new people. I love to support the community and see all of my friends and family there. The festival is a great experience but it could be even better.

The first and most important thing for the festival would be a area designated for people to sit down and eat. This area does not need to be anything fancy and in fact would be quite cheap. If we were use the lsst extra end on both sides of the main road San Gennaro is run on we could place many cheap park style benches for people to relax and eat food at. This would also bring more people to the festival because they will have a place to relax at. The next game changer for San Gennaro would be advertising. The point of the festival is to draw people to the east end yet the only way to find out about it is to be a local. If we were to spend some money on radio and T.V. advertising it would draw many more people to the festival. The next improvement would be a simple series of large tents to keep the festival 100% active even in the rain. The time period when sangenro is short so if it rains one day half the festival is over. The fact is many people don't like eating in the rain or even standing in it. It rained one day at San Gennaro and there were barely any people there compared to the previously sunny day. The tents would be cheap and we would need more than 10 or 15 of them. I would also recommend more games like bachi and ring toss. These games are fun to watch and are incredibly cheap. If possible we could add a tour bus that stops past the festival, it could take many people new to this part of the island and show them all the beautiful spots to relax and have fun.
