Imagine the world in complete chaos. Pretty hard to think about right? Maybe that is how you already view the world already. Never the less, the world is designed a specific way, so it is not lost in total chaos. In the novel The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom, many of the characters including Sarah Lemon, Ethan, and Victor Delamonte quickly learn that there are consequences to your actions.

One of the first characters we read about in the book The Time Keeper who surpasses the consequences of her actions is Sarah Lemon. The events that we witness her experience are pretty tragic. When she manages to get a date with her crush, she looks in the mirror and immediately points out her imperfections. (DISCLAIMER PUT IN CITATIONS) Her mother wants to help her pick something out, but Sarah just wants nothing to do with her. Some readers may think that this boy has completely filled her life and there is nothing more important than going on this date. As the story continues this boy Ethan has hurt her enormously, she then becomes depressed and even attempts suicide. Sarah and her mother's relationship has definitely been damaged tremendously. At first, he agrees but at the last second Ethan cancels. He reschedules but this time he gets her drunk, kisses her, and tries to do other things.
