“What do you like to do?”
“I dance,” is my natural, instinctual response.
It is almost always the answer, and I can’t remember a time when it wasn’t. I’ve been dancing since I was two. At that time, “dancing” was considered prancing around in pink sparkly tutus while pretending to be a prima ballerina.
Now, that is not the case.
Dancing is like any other competitive sport, but much different. Maybe it’s not qualified as a “sport”, but it sure takes the hard work and dedication an athlete has to do it. It’s hard. Not only physically, but mentally, too. Sometimes I wonder if I really want to go through with it, through college and then a career.
