Knock knock knock! Your brother is knocking on the door asking if you want to play with him. You yell at him and tell him to go away because you are too focused on your phone. You swipe through girls' instagram wishing to be like them and look like them. You begin to feel sad and insecure. You then have the idea to get into a nice outfit and take pretty photos of yourself to post online. Post. You post the photos and wait, wait till anything happens. Ding. your phone screen lights up and you check it immediately. It's a hate comment. You then think about your day and everything that has happened. You think to yourself is it really worth it. Social media is a very big component for depression. Everyone is always wanting to get a perfect body and look like other people but when they try and don't succeed they feel worthless, insecure and depressed. They want to impress people to seem cool. But all it is really doing is making them feel worse, they will eventually get tired of pretending and will want to isolate themselves from everyone.
