Prom: An Unforgettable Experience (A Satire On Prom) Prom rolls around to high schools across the nation every year. Millions of teenagers have the opportunity to wear expensive garments one time for a few short hours at the most discussed event of the year. It’s planned for months ahead of time and played out in a single night. The list of reasons one should attend prom is so long that it would be nearly impossible to thoroughly cover in one essay. With this in mind, we’ll attempt to cover only the most crucial keys to understanding why you should attend prom. Prom, the event offering the opportunity to spend exorbitant amounts of money, perhaps dance in cumbersome clothing for hours, and make an event out of activities that could be achieved on any other night in a far more sensible manner. What would any broke high schooler love to drop a couple hundred dollars (at least) on more than prom? When you find yourself trying to scratch up a few bucks for lunch keep your head up knowing that you’re stash of cash saved for prom will be well worth it. A month or two before prom you will go out and find a tux to rent. During this experience you will spend at least one hundred dollars to rent your tux of choice for a single night. Guys will get to slip into a tux they will ditch as soon as possible. Mainly due to the fact that once inside the dance the temperature will rise to that of a tropical rainforest. Most people head out to dances in light clothing that does not restrict movement or capture heat. What would prom be without sweating in a tux though? This is half the experience! Once drenched in sweat, a quick breather outside will blow a cool wind over you that is enhanced by all that sweat.
