In my mural, about the movie, I have represented some of the ideas or symbols that I think that they are essential in history. In one hand, I have drawn the prison door, where Hester was imprisoned for his sin. At the door, where he grew a rose, that have represented too. It is a symbol of hope, life, the presence of God, and also a symbol of passion. I put up some words which in my opinion are the bases of the behavior of the personages:

"Revenge", is the feeling and the thought of
Chillinworth, and he join seen the people suffer and he did all the research of Hester’s lover because she has dissapointed him, so he wants revenge. “Shame”, is what society wanted to pass Hester, so the letter A being punished all his life and therefore she is judged in front all the people. Then I wrote, “Temptation”, it is a predominant sensation between Hester and
Dimmesdale, and Hester actions are moved by temptation. “Sin” because is the base of the movie, and the debate about who is the sinner in the story, Hester is punished because of her sin.
And the last one, “Rebellion”, we can appreciate it in the second part of the movie, when Hester is a symbol of rebellion, freedom, courage and an example for other women. This is, also, why I draw the woman symbol. In the society of the movie, the women doesn’t have an importance and the same rights than men.
