Schindler’s List is a movie directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie was released in 1993 and produced by Gerald R. Molen and Branko Lustig, and as well by Steven Spielberg. The top three stars are Liam Neeson as the main character, Oskar Schindler, Ben Kingsley as his main assistant, Itzhak Stern, and Ralph Fiennes as the central antagonist, Amon Goeth. This movie is based on a book released in 1982 called Schindler’s Ark. I watched this movie in the car while going on a lengthy ride, and I noticed that it is a black-and-white film, until the ending, when it turns into color, representing a new world that the characters will live in. This movie is about a German man, Oskar Schindler, living during the time of the Holocaust, who dedicates his life to saving Jews from being killed or sent to labor camps. Although a large number of smaller roles in the movie were created, all of the main characters were inspired by historical figures during the time of the Holocaust. Oskar Schindler was presented accurately, as he saved the lives of over 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust. Itzhak Stern was also portrayed correctly, as he worked for Oskar Schindler as his accountant. The movie focuses on the Holocaust, and it accurately represents the horror and violence of the event. The film illustrates the appalling circumstances Jewish people were forced to endure during this era in history. The film is shot at or near the actual historical venues, mostly in Poland. All the sets were either realistically recreated or authentically used. All the settings were in labor camps, so there were no natural geographic objects. The movie took place over about a ten year time period, from near the beginning of the Holocaust until the ending of World War II. All of the buildings, clothing, and other props were done with accuracy, as they depicted the culture during this time and
