Abstract School counselors offer mental health and academic support services to assist students, parents, and teachers during academic year. The supports consist of personal problems, assistance with educational and career options. However, school counselors wear many hats. The responsibilities of a counselor may also consist of assisting parents and teachers to better understand, and resolve issues as they appear. In this paper, we will examine the everyday tasks of an elementary school counselor. During the interview with Jeanne Winters Morris, from Backman Elementary in Salt City Utah. There was various topics one would become interested. Ms. Morris has nine years experience in first to sixth grade. She began her career as a school counselor in upstate NY and Missouri; where later her career moved to Utah. In Missouri, she had a caseload of 300-350 student compared to 500 students in Utah.
