When the national anthem plays, wherever you are, people should stand up and show their respect. Kneeling during the playing of the national anthem is a disrespect to our country. President Donald Trump stated, “It’s important that NFL players stand for our national anthem next game.
Recently Trump has criticized the NFL for not forcing the players to stand during the anthem. He says that it's a “Total disrespect for our great country!” and that it's disrespecting the military and everyone who fought for our freedom. The NFL is going to let the players sit or kneel during the national anthem for now. There is a lot of discussion of the freedom of expression and if this is legal or not.
While some believe that athletes should have their own choice at making a decision to go pro straight out of high school, they should not do so because they will not be able to manage their million dollar contracts respectively. Speaking of contracts, the NBA should eliminate guaranteed contracts for rookies drafted in the first round of the NBA draft. They should do this because a careless high school kid, could just go into the draft not knowing, or caring on how much they are going to make, with the lack of experience on handling millions of dollars. Because they believe that it encourages bullies to pick on kids who can’t catch well. Dodgeball is a game related to targeting targeting humans I can admit. But if you never take get hit by a ball then you will never experience pain.
From the time a student athlete steps on campus to play for a NCAA program to the time they graduate or move on to the pros; they are an employee. From opening weekends to tournaments to championships, college sports are one of the celebrated things in America and generates, as a whole, billions of dollars. Not all division one athletic programs generate millions of dollars, but they do generate money. Where does that money go? That money goes to the NCAA who then sends it out to schools athletic departments.

At least, that is what participation medals are teaching young kids. When I played youth sports, which is roughly three years ago, we didn’t want to be rewarded because we signed up to play. We wanted to be rewarded after reaching a milestone; first, second or third place.
In this world today, every kids dream is to make it out there city, to do something special they truly love, but it seems like it’s something always holding them back from overcoming their dreams. Well the question is what is possibly holding kids back from overcoming the perfect dream, and one of those things is the right to come out of highschool to play in the NBA instead of taking one year of college. Now I 'm not saying you shouldn’t go to college to play college basketball but I believe kids that are highly skilled should be able to go in the NBA without attending college, if they wanted to make the decision.

Children have strived for years to make their parents, teachers and coaches proud of them. Kids have come to practice Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday, and Friday to get better, while their academics are suffering. Students have pushed their bodies to the limits, causing extreme injury that will hold them back from sports in the future. Student athletes are not getting the opportunity to play multiple sports during the year, because they are expected to spelize in one sport and focus on it year round, leaving no opportunity to play other sports or do other activities. Youth sports are becoming too intense for young children to keep up with.

The media teaches people simply that sports leads to horrific injuries and can cause stress, but what the mainstream media hardly discusses are the great benefits of competitive sports. While there may be some negatives to competitive sports, that’s just life, and to add on to that; there are plenty of benefits which are sure to override to media’s facts. Kids should play competitive sports because competitive sports teach children powerful life lessons, contributes to their social and mental stability, and because of the physical gain competitive sports provides.
