A Christmas Carol is a very popular and famous story. It is about a man who hates almost everything and then when he is shown his whole life and how it will end he decides to change his life for the better. It is really intriguing when one goes in depth into the story. That is what I will be telling people about today.
Some of the similarities I noticed was that the ghost of christmas past, present, and future came to visit Scrooge in the story and the book. In the past of Scrooge’s life, both in the book and in the movie it shows him as a little kid. It also shows him when his girlfriend leaves him and when his sister comes to visit him, but shortly after she dies, but not without having a kid first. Also I found that when they went to Christmas present they went to the Cratchit’s house in both the short story and the video. Another thing was that once they got there soon Tim and Bob arrived also. Then while there his nephew also appeared there. In both the story and the movie the spirit of christmas future never talked. Scrooge’s items from his home were both stolen in the film and the text. Tiny Tim died in the future in both of them. Also Scrooge died alone in the future and nobody mourned …show more content…

Another difference I noticed was that in the film he did not count the seconds as they went by like he did in the book. Also I found that Martha did not hide in the book like she did in the movie when Scrooge came home. In the script they did not go and see Ben, but did in the motion picture. In the book the ghost of christmas day did not show the two kids as he did in the footage. Then there was the part in the movie where Scrooge said “Spare me” but he did not say that in the writing. In the book scrooge did not wipe snow off the stone. In the film Scrooge’s nephew was mentioned but was not in the
