This year has been long and stressful. Junior year being known as one of the hardest years lived up to what it’s known for. Between all the honor classes, friend drama, and family life I learned that paying attention to details is extremely important. I learned this through the reading quizzes. When reading a book I never paid much attention to the small details. After taking all the Seabiscuit quizzes I learned quickly that I needed to pay attention to the details. I didn’t pick up on the fact I needed to notice even the smallest of details. Who knew that knowing who said a quote to who under what circumstances would show up on a quiz. Whether I was writing an argument, a rhetorical analysis, or synthesis, I would always get a 5 just because I didn’t explain or go into detail on my examples. I never once got a 6 just because I didn’t go into more detail on how that example worked. Detail always played a huge role outside of the classroom as well. I can’t even count how many arguments I got in with friends this year. Most of the argument were over small stupid things that wouldn’t matter in the end. The thing that started most of these arguments was because we were fighting over text. Without having small things like body language or tone in voice can change how everything is interpreted. Small things like the slightest change in someone's voice, or the slight tensing of muscles in someone's body can change how an entire conversation can go. These never seemed important to a conversation until I realized how much they affected how things were interpreted. The most important details were when my dad was in the hospital. My dad almost died on a few occasions. The things that almost caused his death were the smallest of things. Small blood clots were being sent up to his brain causing
