How many times have you choked on a cloud of smoke? Imagine sitting in a restaurant unable to enjoy your meal due to a cloud of smoke coming from a nearby table. Smoking is very common and done publicly around us everyday. Growing up with a sister who has asthma was tough. We had a hard time going to places such as the grocery store, walking through a parking lot, the mall, the park or even church was difficult because we came across many smokers. People who have asthma can be seriously harmed or even killed by second-hand smoke. I remember every time we would walk past someone smoking; we would cover our mouth which was very irritating.
