The United States Constitution has successfully been the ruling document of our nation for over two centuries. The U.S has substantially influenced other nations around the world since many countries have embraced the idea of a written constitution. The Constitution of the United States has instituted three main branches of government, and created a Bill of Rights for the American citizen.The two most important provisions of the Constitution are Section Seven of Article One, and Section Two of Article Two since they are the best examples of the balance that the Framers of the Constitution chose to create, and therefore, should be maintained in their current form. The Legislative Branch’s role is to pass federal laws, control federal appropriations, approve treaties and presidential appointments, regulate interstate commerce, and establish a lower court system (Ginsberg et. al. 2017: 47). On account of the system of checks and balances that for centuries has sustained our country, the Legislative Branch has power over the Judicial Branch and the Executive Branch. Due to it’s power over the Judicial Branch, it can change the size of the federal court system and the number of Supreme Court justices, propose constitutional amendments, reject Supreme Court nominees, and can impeach and remove federal judges (Ginsberg et. al. 2017: 48). The Legislative Branch checks the Executive Branch by having the power to override a presidential veto, impeach and remove a president, reject president’s appointments, refuse to ratify treaties, conduct investigations into president’s actions, refuse to pass laws or to provide funding that the president requests (Ginsberg et. al. 2017: 48). Therefore, it is best to leave Article I, Section Seven as is since if any changes are made, it would also greatly impact the system of checks and
