Segregation is the separation of a thing, person, or group. Preferably, I do not favor segregation. A diverse setting is more my type. Segregation only leads to more controversy. Although my favor for segregation is small, at certain times, being set apart from something can ultimately solve problems. The three most distinguished effects of segregation are subordination, anger, and fear. In the novel scratch beginnings, Adam Sheppard states, "You're never too old, never too bad, never too late and never too sick to start from the scratch once again." Personally, I agree with him. Ethnic, racial, religious, and or any minority group should not determine how hard a person can work or how far they will go in life. Subordination is making someone feel like less of a person because of his or her circumstance. False stereotypes, favored treatment, and excuses are all factors of subordination. I will argue that not everyone has the same motivation or will power, but everyone is capable of succeeding.
