United states during world war two The United States during world war 2 went from being the most unprepared super power in the world, unsure if it would even go to war. To become one of the most powerful nations in the world. Only by taking quick action was this possible and by making sure of sealing any possible vulnerabilities they might have. They began by strengthening its army, increasing its production of war supplies and started to test new technology to use in war.
The United States strengthened its army by ending race segregation on the force so it gave the opportunity to add African American, Asian, and Hispanic soldiers as reinforcements for the marines already in battle or for the one’s heading into battle. They also allowed women to join the fight as nurses helping soldiers, so this established the Women’s Army Corps. Later as soldiers were still greatly needed, they started to draft citizens into the army. All the drafted citizens were all only trained by almost half the time of a regular soldier would, but they still proved to be extremely useful in battle keeping the military very strong. …show more content…

This created a boost up in the economy, also because all men are on the front fighting, it opened the doors for women to have the chance to join the workforce. Segregation in the workplace was also put aside because the high demand of workers. African American, Asians and Hispanics were all given the opportunity to take jobs that would help the war, or help keep the country running because of all the jobs that were left behind.
