I also noticed in the video I was focused on trying to set the goals that I did not notice his body language. Watching it back now I wish I would have because his body language was speaking to closed off and frustrated. 9. Overall, what did you see as your greatest strength in your role of social worker in this session? Explain. I think that my biggest strength was I responded empathetically to what he was saying. I feel that when he stated he received a letter about legal proceeding I was able to say I can see how that can be tough, but I will help you figure this out. I feel I was empathetic with my body language, I just missed being empathetic to his. 10. Overall, if there was one thing you could “do-over” from this session, what would it be? Explain. I wish I could do the goal setting over to be honest. I feel that I got lost and although I knew how to set the goal I struggled with helping my client find action steps to meet those goals.
