After having Arlene come in and have an interview, important information was exposed and discussed to help provide her with a diagnosis and treatment plan for Arlene. It shows a lot of courage that Arlene came into the clinic seeking for professional help, which shows she wants to get better and is willing to get better and do whatever it takes to get to that point. By Arlene coming into the clinic is will help her understand what psychological abnormalities she may be suffering from. I do believe it is necessary for Arlene to come back into the clinic for another visit. By her coming back in assessment methods can be conducted to have a better understanding of what Arlene is suffering from. When Arlene comes back in I think to do, a semi-structured clinical interview, as well as the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, will be conducted. The semi-structured clinical interview is more to understand Arlene divorce, and she admitted, she has an excellent relationship with her parents, but felt worthless around them after her divorce. Her family has never talked or have seen anyone diagnosed with a mental illness. Since there is no evidence to consider biological factors of the major depressive episode is genetics, because relatives who have a mood disorder (Arlene) are likely to have a mood disorder compared to someone who does not have this genetic will not have mood disorders. Which makes this contributing factor to her MDD. Arlene also indicated that her sleeping patterns have been disrupted, which is possible that could be biological which involves the major depressive
