This memo is to request permission to move forward with my research paper. This idea I would like to present will aide in accounting system we use. Classing each store by grouping in a region will give us the opportunity to see sale by store and regional districts. Giving fast data to the investors. Classing stores by number will also aid in the accountant’s financial books. Opening up the reporting for accountants to see the true cost of each store separated on our general leader of accounts. Inventory will also be sequenced to add our District manager are a daily basis.
Presenting my company with a proposal to use sequencing of stores and more of a logistical approach to store regions. I would like to transform the way we identify our store by implementing regions and store numbers. As Zhang (2005) has pointed out in his thesis on Sequencing organizational alignment “among supply chains is key to the successful management. The name of the store doesn’t do justice when coding for our accounting software. This would be a big challenge in the beginning, but a big return in the end. This will also make it faster to search a store in need of some repairs. As we can let our construction crew know which store may need some help with a simple number. It also will help with placing employees in the right region when it comes to our hiring practices. Marketing can use this coding to focus on a region that may be lacking in sales.
