My goal would at first would be to have the end state in mind. The end state being groups of workers given administrative oversight for their own task domains. This involves activities such as planning, scheduling, monitoring & staffing. An ideal outcome would be to increase productivity, and bring about a positive effect on specific attitudes relating to self-management. As Cohen, I would have a well defined process (step-by-step) that brings about this change in an organizational rework. Educate Senior Management: This step would involve introducing the concept of self managed teams to the senior employees of the organisation and inform them of the benefits and pitfalls of this technique. Relating & Deciding Whether or not to Succeed: This is where we understand our organization's power structure and evaluate whether our organisation is ready to move ahead with the design and implementation of self managed teams.
