(1982) - In 1975, Three board members wanted to remove many books from their school’s library. They thought that they books were objectionable. The board said that they would remove the books, so the three members could review them. The board thought of the books as anti-american, anti-christian-, and anti semitic and just horrible. Some of the nine books that were in the lawsuit were, The Naked Ape by Desmond Morris, Hero Ain’t Nothin’ But a Sandwich by Alice Childress, Soul on Ice by Eldridge Cleaver, SlaughterHouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut Jr, and more.
