“Far from what I once was but not yet what I’m going to be.” What is victory? The definition of victory is an act of defeating the enemy. But, this doesn’t define you. You see, september 11, 2001 America was under attack; most of you probably remember this day. Over three thousand people were killed during the attack in New York and Washington D.C. This included four hundred police officers and firefighters. But, we didn’t let this tragedy define us, we fought back. This is what happened on september eleventh. Nineteen activist connected with Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four american airlines and carried out a suicide attack against the targets in america. Let me just state this clearly; we the U.S did not lose the “war” of September 11, 2001. We look like America’s herrorism was diminished but that’s an understatement. We were under four phases of attacks that I have mentioned above. We were caught off guard by this “war” making it start poorly for us. (America) Around the third phase in washington a passenger had contacted the Justice Department to inform them about what was happening. Immigration policies drastically changed after September 11, 2001. Immigration changed with Homeland Security Act and Enhanced Border Security. Homeland security formed in November of 2002 with the task to protect the United States and the borders. After September eleventh we have become more deliberate about America’s protection and trying to make it safer for our citizens. I think it is time for United States to appreciate that though the Battle of September 11 started off badly for our aspect, by the time the day was over, the tide of battle had turned. It had been turned by the spirit, pride and commitment that Americans need to our country and our fellow voters. It 's exhausting to consider a moment where six thousand lives were lost as a conclusion, however within the finish it was not a defeat. We tend to Americans met the enemy and within the by the tip we tend to unbroken them from achieving their goals.
The attack was against our individuals, our establishments and our culture and that we turned it back by suggests that not of arms, however with our individuals, our culture and our establishments.
