HOOK. The podcast Serial is narrated by Sarah Koenig and is a story about a boy named Adnan who was trialed and deemed guilty to have murdered his ex-girlfriend Hae back in January 13th, 1999. He was accused to have choked Hae to death, but there was no trace of physical evidence left behind. The main things Adnan was held guilty for was motive and Jay’s statement of Adnan killing Hae and asking him to help bury her. Jay was only an acquaintance of Adnan. Even though there was no physical evidence that could pin Adnan to the murder, he was still made guilty of it and was sentenced to jail for life. To this current day, Adnan still pleads his innocence while waiting for his new trial in jail. TRANSITION STATEMENT. Physical evidence takes many forms and carries a good deal of weight in court cases.

There was absolutely no evidence that could tie Adnan to the case, but he was still convicted of the crime. I’m not sure if the crime scene investigators at the time missed any details or didn’t think the case was too important since Adnan was Muslim, but they should have found at least one small piece of evidence. From all the crime scene investigation shows that I have seen over the years the investigators have always, and I mean always found some type of physical evidence from the crime scene or off the victims body. Regardless of any type of crime scene, the investigators always managed to find a shred of evidence so the idea of Adnan’s case having no physical evidence found makes it seem very
