Jolene wanted to die. Life in that hell hole was absolute torture. The room was windowless and had solid concrete walls. The air reeked of body odor, whiskey, cigarettes, and sex. The only furniture was a single dirty mattress in the middle of the room. It was stained a sickly yellow color. Jolene was chained to the wall, completely naked. The young girl had dark blue bruises on her breasts, hips, thighs, neck, and collarbone. She had deep yellow cuts on her back, stomach, and collarbone that had become infected. Time stood still in that awful room. Jolene had no idea how long she 'd been held captive. Maybe it was a month, or even a whole year. The young girl stared at the door in anticipation. "Hey it 's okay. I 'm not gonna hurt you," he said, offering her his hand. She flinched and backed away again. "I 'm not gonna hurt you. We should get out of here before you freeze to death." She grabbed his hand hesitantly. Jolene had no reason to trust this man. He could be a serial killer or a rapist or even worse. She didnt have any other options however. She 'd die on her own.
