Seven Practice Areas Of Text Analysis Paper

The main purpose of this paper will be defining text analytics as well as giving five kinds of linguistic models that text analytics uses. The five models are lexical analysis, named entity recognition, disambiguation, coreference, and sentiment. Also important factors are the practicing areas of text analytics which are search and information retrieval, documenting clustering, document classification, web mining, information extraction, natural language processing, and concept extraction . The seven practice areas of text analytics I will also discuss the questions on how to find the right area. The questions are granularity, focus, available information, syntax or semantics and web or traditional text. Once I briefly describe each model there will be at least three examples of text analytics being applied. One will have to first understand the meaning of the word before giving information about it or inquiring an example. In chapter four of the book Management Information Systems it is proclaimed that text analytics is, “a process of using statistical , artificial intelligence , and linguistic techniques to convert information content in textual sources – like surveys ,e-mails, blogs, and social media”(Hagg &Cumming 2013). Other words text analytics is helpful to personnel whom associate through networking by receiving others information.
