My first article is, “Ten reasons why you should not care about human trafficking.” This article explains why someone would not want to care about helping the victims or try to help fight against human trafficking. The article explains that you should take care of yourself and your happiness, and not worry about what is going on around you, especially if it is not happening in your backyard. It goes on to say that there are too many other problems to think about already, why add one more issue?
I do not agree with what is being said, but it would make sense for those who do not want to take the time or effort to help. I do agree with some of the statistics that are in this article though. It almost sounds like the author has a sarcastic

We assume that is how she wants to live her life, but we do not think about why she is walking the street.
I agree with this article, because there are many of us (myself included), who may see a prostitute and turn a blind eye because we don’t want to think about it. What we need to do is ask ourselves why they are in that position and what can we do to help. Law enforcement doesn’t help either. They may arrest the prostitute, but rarely go after the Pimp. We need to start going after the pimps if we want to win the fight against human trafficking.
Reading this article opened my eyes to a bigger problem that leads into human trafficking. “Many Americans judge girls for being sexually provocative with little regard for their circumstances, leading to a system in which we're more interested in prosecuting girls than the pimps and johns who victimize them” (Hartmann, 2011). Yes, I know that prostitutes are probably being trafficked, but this article gave me a picture in my head to see that I have never seen
