McMartin Preschool trial was a case of sexual abuse during the 1980’s in Manhattan Beach, California. The preschool was owned by the McMartin family were charged with several acts of sexual abuse of the children who attended the daycare. The moral panic started when a mother Judy Johnson; accused a preschool teacher; Raymond Buckey for molesting her two-year-old son. Judy son has informed her that he had painful bowel movements. After that, the police department sent out a letter informing parents of the students at the McMartin school to question their children if they have been sexually abused, which caused the parents to panic. The children mentioned that there were satanic rituals where the teachers would slaughter animals and babies in front of the children. Throughout the case the children were telling different, bizarre stories, involving that the kids were taken out of daycare to various other places including farms, churches, secret tunnels etc. Based on the satanic rituals the children mentioned that they were forced to drink the blood of the sacrificed animals, but eventually there was no evidence that supported this claim.
