McMartin Preschool trial was a case of sexual abuse during the 1980’s in Manhattan Beach, California. The preschool was owned by the McMartin family were charged with several acts of sexual abuse of the children who attended the daycare. The moral panic started when a mother Judy Johnson; accused a preschool teacher; Raymond Buckey for molesting her two-year-old son. Judy son has informed her that he had painful bowel movements. After that, the police department sent out a letter informing parents of the students at the McMartin school to question their children if they have been sexually abused, which caused the parents to panic. They asked the children a lot of leading questions and the kids were given a ‘correct doll’ to help them remember and to tell the story of what happened. The children mentioned that there were satanic rituals where the teachers would slaughter animals and babies in front of the children. Throughout the case the children were telling different, bizarre stories, involving that the kids were taken out of daycare to various other places including farms, churches, secret tunnels etc. Based on the satanic rituals the children mentioned that they were forced to drink the blood of the sacrificed animals, but eventually there was no evidence that supported this claim. The case sent a nationwide panic by overpowering fear of the McMartin case because it was accused of sexual abuse followed by the Satanic agenda only when the children’s memories were recovered. The allegations the children made were absurd since it was fueled by leading questions, also there was no evidence to accuse the McMartin family. The Satanic Ritual Abuse panic was the McMartin case, where it took years of trial and
