Over the years the issue of sexual assault, and sexual harassment in the military against military women has been getting more attention from the public. Bostock et al. (2007) speaks of the statistics that are related to sexual assault, and sexual harassment on military women in the United States military. Bostock et al. (2007) research focused on one branch of the United States military, the Air Force. In the research 6,000 randomly selected active duty air force women took a survey over the telephone that dealt with question about sexual assault, and if they knew someone who had been sexually assaulted or sexually harassed or if they themselves had dealt with sexual assault or sexual harassment while on duty (Bostock et al., 2007). The conclusion that Bostock et al. (2007) uncovered from the research on sexual assault, harassment, molestation, and rape on military women was that military women have a higher chance of been sexually assaulted, rape, and molested than the general population in the United States (Bostock et al., 2007).
